What is Ashitaba Green?
Ashitaba Green (Trademark and Patent pending) is an organic whole food, certified by "California Certified Organic Farmers".
and the USDA's National Organic Program. The ashitaba (Angelica Keiskei Koidzmi) seeds are imported from Japan but the plants are grown and harvested in California. In order to maintain the plant's energy and maximize its unique qualities as an antioxidant and detoxicant, extraction methods are not used in the processing of Ashitaba Green.
The Hayano's farming/processing technique (Koidzumi-Hayano) has developed a pathogen-free (low bacterial count) processing plant. Freshly harvested ashitaba plants are treated as Whole Food, with leaves and stems dried together without losing its natural, beautiful green color. Ashitaba Green contains no additives.
